Huawei FusionSolar recently organized the 4th and 5th Global Installer Summit in Dongguan, bringing together more than 1,200 partners and installers from across the world. The large-scale event served as a hub for in-depth discussions on the evolving PV and energy storage system (ESS) markets, installer strategies, real-world success stories, and effective marketing practices. The focus of the summit was not only to highlight market trends but also to strengthen collaboration, encourage knowledge sharing, and co-create a sustainable and prosperous future for distributed energy.
The summit opened with a welcome speech by Zhou Jianjun, Vice President of Huawei and President of Global Marketing, Sales and Services at Huawei Digital Power. He emphasized the role of installers as the “last-mile value creators and deliverers,” explaining that the summit was designed to share Huawei Digital Power’s positioning, strategies, and latest innovations while building a platform for seamless global communication. According to Zhou, by drawing on best practices and collective expertise from around the world, Huawei aims to foster business growth and accelerate progress toward a greener future.
Sun Xiaofeng, President of Smart PV & ESS Marketing and Sales Services at Huawei Digital Power, delivered a keynote on “Huawei’s Culture and Innovation System.” He underlined the company’s customer-centric approach, as well as its dedication to digitalization, intelligence, and decarbonization. Sun reassured that Huawei Digital Power would continue investing in cutting-edge technologies and strengthening cooperation with global partners, while maintaining an open and adaptable mindset to navigate future uncertainties in the energy sector.
Another key presentation was made by Jack Tong, President of Global Residential and C&I Smart PV & ESS Business, Huawei Digital Power. He shared Huawei FusionSolar’s installer strategies, describing installers and EPCs as critical players in ensuring safety, guaranteeing quality, and creating value at the final stage of the customer journey. He explained that Huawei is committed to simplifying business operations for installers, while creating shared value for users, installers, and partners.
Allen Zeng, President of Technical Service & Operation, Huawei Digital Power, presented his keynote “Engineer Your Success: Smarter Installs, Advanced Support, and Limitless Opportunities.” He highlighted four major industry trends shaping the installer landscape: increasingly strict safety requirements, unprecedented growth in the market, the rising importance of energy storage systems, and the need for new market growth engines. To address these challenges, Huawei has established a comprehensive service system focusing on quality excellence, technical expertise, simplified installation, and long-term profitability, all designed to empower installers in their business journey.
The role of branding and marketing in driving success was spotlighted by Xia Hesheng, CMO of Huawei Digital Power, in his keynote “Simple Makes Wiser, Marketing Guidelines to Installers.” He highlighted how Huawei continues to strengthen brand momentum and works collaboratively with installers across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Latin America to explore effective joint marketing strategies. By openly sharing branding resources and expertise, Huawei aims to help installers achieve stronger business growth.
On the technical innovation side, Wang Wenyuan, Smart PV Management System Chief Engineer at Huawei Digital Power, introduced “SmartDesign: From Concept to Business Plan in 10 Minutes.” This online design tool helps installers efficiently overcome challenges in creating customized PV and ESS solutions for clients. It supports electrical design, 3D modeling, PV layout, and device list generation, while also producing clear ROI reports. By reducing the time needed for solution design to just 10 minutes, SmartDesign significantly enhances communication and improves the overall customer experience.
The summit also featured Huawei FusionSolar experts who offered detailed insights into the value of Residential and C&I One-Fits-All Solutions. These sessions empowered global installers with practical knowledge and applications, while success stories shared by installers worldwide provided real-world perspectives and inspired new ideas for collaboration.Adding to the interactive spirit of the event, the Huawei FusionSolar Creators’ Cup concluded with an award ceremony celebrating installers who showcased inspiring stories of green development and low-carbon living. Through photography and storytelling, these installers highlighted the progress and potential of sustainable practices in both residential and commercial settings.
